But let me tell you a little more about PAN Amsterdam, what it is and what makes this art fair so special.
PAN Amsterdam has been the fair for art, antiques and design for 35 years and is celebrating its anniversary edition this year. This year you will be able to find 125 art dealers, antique dealers and gallery owners there. Besides the familiar faces and " returning" participants, there are also some exciting newcomers. This promises a nice mix, with a broad and diverse selection of modern and contemporary art, antiques and old masters, design, jewelry, silver, glass and, of course, photography.
125 art and antique dealers and galleries

With 125 art and antique dealers and galleries, including 16 from abroad and 15 more than last year, almost everyone is participating again. So this anniversary edition looks promising for the more than 35,000 art collectors and enthusiasts who are inspired and enticed by the thousands of artworks on display each year. Whether their interest lies in classical antiquity, old masters, photography, contemporary art, antiques, designer furniture or decorative jewelry and objects: PAN is the perfect place to compare art, gather information and make surprising discoveries. Together with the varied program full of lectures and presentations on PAN Podium, it is well worth a visit."

Mix of contemporary and classical highlights
A tour of PAN Amsterdam leads visitors past centuries of art history. For example, Stone Gallery is showing a complete mammoth leg from the North Sea weighing 71 kilograms and 50,000 years old. Old masters are on display at top foreign dealers Raphael Valls Gallery and Weiss Gallery of London and Koetser Gallery of Zurich. Borzo Gallery and The Mayor Gallery are jointly showing such works as Double Arc by Billy Apple (Aukland, 1935-2021). Galerie Fontana is showing works from photographers Yves Marchand & Romain Meffre and Gallery Flatland is showing beautiful work by French photographer Valérie Belin (b. 1964). Gallery Helga Hofman will feature bronze sculptures by Dutch sculptor Ivan Cremer (b. 1984). An 18-carat gold bracelet with emerald beads by Gucci is one of the highlights of Marjan Sterk Fine Art Jewellery. Wonderwood in Nothing Hotter than Dutch Love features work by Jeroen Henneman, Klaas Gubbels, Jan Cremer, Mark Brusse and Richard Hutten, among others. High-quality Asian art is on display at VanderVen Oriental Art, Sue Ollemans, Mandarin Mansion, Hotei Japanese Prints and Joost van den Bergh of London, who is participating in pavilion Walls & Cabinets which also features other newcomers such as Martin van Zomeren, Kersgallery, The Ravenstijn Gallery, Den Otter Fine Art and Duende Art Projects from Antwerp. The latter debutant comes with a Gope plate from Papua New Guinea, an exceptional specimen from the Van Strien Collection that was last shown to the public in Paris in 1974.
Daily presentations at PAN Podium
In addition to the wide range of art on offer, PAN Podium offers visitors a varied program full of inspiring lectures and interactive presentations. With a different theme every day, from museums to old masters and from porcelain to sustainable design. For example, there are collaborations with Keramiekmuseum Princessehof, Textiel Museum and CODART, and together with the Association of Dutch Art Historians VNK, the PAN Thesis Prize will be awarded. Artists Raquel van Haver and Azu Nwagbogu will discuss redefining the art climate, Photographer Jan Dirk van der Burg will perform with a special PAN 'show' and designer Richard Hutten will explain his iconic pieces. In Between Art and Kids on the last day of the fair, there will be a discovery tour in collaboration with the IMC Weekend School to introduce children to art. New: PAN Education App
New this year is the PAN Education App, an app that visitors can download during the fair days with three different routes along objects that fit the themes Masterful Material, Viewed Differently and PANimals for young visitors. In this way, young and old alike are introduced to the world hidden behind the multitude of artworks and objects at PAN.
PAN campaign image by Winy Maas: 'ArtCity. Everything is art'
Every year someone else from the art world designs the campaign image for PAN Amsterdam, this year the honor went to architect and co-founder of MVRDV Winy Maas. Winy designed the image "ArtCity. Everything is Art," inspired by the idea of considering everything in the city as an art object. "Whether it's a bridge, a building, a park or a child's chalk drawing on the sidewalk: everything has artistic value." In the campaign image, he depicts a city where every nook and cranny is piled high with art objects, "spaces where everyone and their ideas are welcome: an inclusive city brimming with art."
35 years of PAN Amsterdam
PAN Amsterdam was founded in 1987 by six leading Dutch art lovers. For 35 years art dealers, antique dealers and gallery owners have been showing their best pieces of art, antiques and design there. Together, they guarantee a diverse, high-quality and international range of art, covering 5,000 years of art history. A team of 80 independent judges sign off on the quality and authenticity of that offer. The Swiss bank J. Safra Sarasin (Luxembourg) SA is once again the main sponsor.
Saturday, Nov. 19, the 35th PAN Amsterdam in RAI Amsterdam will open its doors exclusively to press and invited guests between noon and 8 p.m.. The public is welcome from Sunday, November 20 to Sunday, November 27, daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Mondays until 7 p.m. and on Thursdays until 9:30 p.m. (private Art Evening).
